However, we have to set this against a background of ongoing challenges in funding and resources. It would be easy to for us just to focus on what the Council is required to do legally but our residents tell us that far more things are important to them.
We believe that our purpose is to play our part in improving the well being and quality of life of local people. This means that we go beyond our minimum statutory responsibilities to provide services which help deal with local priorities. We are determined to focus our energies and resources on the areas that will make the biggest difference to the lives of residents and have the biggest positive impact on our district.
The Blaby Plan is not just a list of things that we want to achieve for the district. It sets out our priorities, our resources and our plans to support staff to deliver services well in ever changing times so that we have the right people with the right skills to deliver.
Our Vision and priorities are a collective shared aim, developed in partnership with other public service providers in the district, and form the action plan for our partnership work through Blaby Together. We will be working alongside these partners to deliver clear outcomes and make a difference.
